Kinley Education -  time- line

July 2006   EduCarton” service though-out the South Island. Resource cartons filled with recycled materials – including ideas sheet with photos

February 2007  Kinley Innovations Ltd received a small product development grant from S. I .F. T. ( Sustainable Initiatives Fund Trust ). This money was used to research the use of waste products – in particular the types of machinery and waste materials available for cutting into educational shapes. The purchase of a specialized cutting press and development of a range of cutting knives has allowed us to utilize a variety of waste materials that we would have otherwise not found useful. We now produce a range of geometric shapes cut from cardboards, papers, fabric, foams & plastics which are incorporated in our resource cartons & packs. ( we are continuing to add to the shapes range).

September 2007    Launch of “Jumble Packs” (smaller version of EduCarton) a bulk order product for home education organisations

January 2008  Launch of Creative Reuse workshops for early childhood teachers & home educators

July 2008    Named as a finalist in North Canterbury Business Awards - Exceptional Sustainability

Dec 2009     Launch of the "Recyclopaedia" - An A-Z of creative ideas using everyday waste items.

March 2010 Launch of  "Shapes Packs" - class sets of geometric shapes cut from papers, fabrics and foams.
